Myeongnyundang (Scholar Hall), Seonggyungwan

Myeongnyundang is a Joseon-era state education building next to the main gate of Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul. It opened in 1398 and served as a lecture hall and examination site for Confucian scholars. Two ginkgo trees over 400 years old stand in the courtyard, and the leaves turn color in November. Daeseongjeon is under repair until May 15, 2026 and cannot be entered.
