Munjeongjeon is a hall in Changgyeonggung in Jongno, Seoul. It served as the king's official office for discussing state affairs and receiving reports from officials. The current building was restored in 1986 based on historical research after it was damaged during the Japanese colonial period, and Crown Prince Sado was confined in a rice chest in the small courtyard next to Myeongjeongjeon. It stays quiet even on weekends.
