Kukje Gallery is in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul, near Gyeongbokgung and Samcheong-dong-gil, and shows work by Korean and international artists. Exhibitions run across the first and second floors, a hanok building, and the building next door, and a cafe serves drinks and meals. It opened in 1982 and admission is free, and the gallery takes part in several art fairs to introduce Korean art abroad. Staff at the desk are brusque.
