Hanyangdoseong is a fortress wall path in central Seoul that connects the four great gates of Joseon-era Hanyang, next to Heunginjimun (Dongdaemun) and around the Hanyangdoseong Museum. Walking up the gentle slope gives views of downtown Seoul, Namsan Tower, and Lotte Tower in the distance, and in spring forsythia, azaleas, sansuyu, magnolia, and cherry blossoms bloom. The path continues to the top of Naksan, with a clear route along the wall. Much of it was repaired in modern times, so there is no need to take the uphill sections unless the goal is exercise.
