Gyeonghuigung Park is an urban park in Sinmun-ro, Jongno, where forest and palace grounds meet. It holds cultural properties including Heunghwamun Gate and Sungjeongjeon Hall, and visitors can walk both wooded paths and lawns at no admission charge. A morning route circles the lawn once and then walks about 15 minutes through the forest path toward the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. The site was built as Gyeongdeokgung in 1616, the eighth year of Gwanghaegun, and was renamed Gyeonghuigung in 1760, the thirty-sixth year of Yeongjo.
