Gyejodang is the main hall of the crown prince's residence in the Donggung area of Gyeongbokgung in Seoul. The crown prince held audiences with officials, lived, and studied there, and Donggung was placed on the east side of the palace. Destroyed during the Imjin War, it was rebuilt in 1867, the fourth year of King Gojong, and demolished again in 1915 under Japanese colonial rule. The current building was restored starting in 2018 and the restoration was completed in August 2023.
