Geunjeongjeon is the main hall of Gyeongbokgung, the primary palace of the Joseon dynasty, in Jongno, Seoul. State ceremonies were held here, including the king's coronation, audiences with civil and military officials, and receptions for foreign envoys. Stone rank markers line the front courtyard, and the hall sits on a raised two-tiered platform, showing the roof's curve and dancheong painted decoration. The site can be crowded with visitors.
