This Catholic holy site mixes hanok and Western-style buildings, a 7-8 minute walk from Anguk Station Exit 2 near the entrance to Bukchon. It commemorates the first Mass said on Korean soil, offered by the Chinese priest Jumumo at Choe In-gil Mattia's house on April 5, 1795, and both a hanok and a modern church building stand together here. A Catholic history museum sits next to the first-floor office, the church building is reached by climbing stairs, and a wax figure display is also on site. The church is small, so looking around at an easy pace is difficult.
