Chundangji is a pond in the rear garden of Changgyeonggung in Seoul, divided into Sochundangji and Daechundangji. At Daechundangji, a small island in the center and the Palgak Chilcheung Seoktap at the water's edge can be seen together. An artificial pond was created on the site of Chundangdae in 1909 when a zoo was built at Changgyeonggung, and it was reorganized as a Korean-style garden during restoration in 1984. The pond has a walking path that circles it clockwise, and in winter entry onto the ice is not permitted.
