Bukhansan Hyeongjebong Observatory

Bukhansan Hyeongjebong Observatory is a Seoul viewpoint reached from the Kookmin University bus stop, climbing up to the Bukak Park Ranger Post trailhead. From the observatory, the whole of downtown Seoul and the surrounding landscape are visible at a glance. The course linking Gilsangsa, Hogyeongam, Yeorae-sa, Hyeongjebong, Ilseonsa, Daeseongmun, Bogungmun and Jeongneung in Seongbuk-dong takes four to five hours. The path up Hyeongjebong is a rough route over rocky terrain, and a lantern and a jacket for the cold are needed at sunset.
