Jamnyeo Haenyeo Village

Jamnyeo Haenyeo Chon is a restaurant run by haenyeo in Hamdeok, Jeju, located directly in front of Hamdeok Beach. It serves seafood such as abalone, turban shell, and octopus, along with bomal juk. The haenyeo hansang includes abalone juk, sea urchin bomal juk, turban shell mulhoe, sea urchin miyeokguk, a seafood platter, and tot bap. Haenyeo from the fishing village cooperative run the restaurant themselves, cracking sea urchins in a vinyl greenhouse in front of it, and a self-service corner offers refills of side dishes; the haenyeo mulhoe is served without hoe, combining turban shell, octopus, and abalone with somyeon in a doenjang-based broth.
