Ssangbongsa

Ssangbongsa, a temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, is in Hwasun. It has a Daeungjeon, a three-story wooden hall built like a three-story wooden pagoda, and a Hoseongjeon with a T-shaped gable roof. The temple was founded in 868, and the iron pagoda of Master Cheolgam and its stele, a national treasure, are 100 meters up the left side of the temple. The sajeokbi stands in the stupa group to the left of the kitchen, but information on the relics and their signage is limited.
