Red Bean

Red Bean is a rice restaurant in Mong Kok that serves Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng dishes along with egg tarts and pineapple buns. The egg tarts and pineapple buns can be chosen from an outside display case, and iced coffee, cheese and salt beef scrambled egg submarine sandwiches are also served. The curry beef rice at lunch took close to 30 minutes, and an ordered item sometimes arrived as a different dish. Staff responses are slow, and handling after an order error is not smooth.
