Yuanzai Ji is a dessert shop on the second floor of a shopping mall in Mong Kok, Hong Kong, selling handmade taro balls, sweet soup, and fruit tanghulu. Its signature filled three-color taro balls use a chewy sweet potato dough on the outside and a soft taro paste inside, with a sweet soup base and ingredients chosen by the customer. Customers can build their own order by picking at least five items from more than twenty ingredients, and a brown sugar milk base is also available. The portion size is smaller than expected.
