Kobutaya

Kobuta-ya is a pork rice bowl restaurant in the basement of Sapporo Garden Palace Hotel, near Tanukikoji shopping street in Sapporo. It serves Hikoma pork butadon and pork collar and samgyeopsal (pork belly) dishes with shredded scallions and mustard, along with a miso soup that has a strong shrimp flavor. Orders are placed by buying a menu ticket from a vending machine and handing it to staff, then taking the elevator on the right side of the hotel lobby down to the basement. The meat is left with charred parts.
