Mermaid Coffee Roasters Sapporo is a coffee shop near Nijo Market that roasts its own beans and serves lattes and americanos. The Hokkaido milk latte is nutty, the fruit-forward americanos are acidic, and several beans can be tasted on the first floor. Around 10 a.m. the wait ran about 20 minutes, and the second floor has floor seating and sofas for several people. Most first-floor seats are for one or two people, so seating is hard to find when it is crowded.
