Wakana

Wakana is a cafe near Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto that serves mitarashi, kokutou and mizurashi dango along with shaved ice. The dango is grilled to order, giving the chewy rice cakes a sweet and savoury sauce. Each skewer is grilled one at a time and served immediately, and customers are directed to eat in front of the parking lot across the street. The shaved ice portion is small relative to its size.
