Ueno

Ueno is a small restaurant near Gion Market in Kyoto that serves kaiseki and zara-tang courses. Its courses highlight ingredients, as in the lobster dish, and are presented with tableware and garden views. The space has four bar seats, and walk-ins without a reservation can be seated as two separate diners. English service is not smooth.
