Teppanyaki KYOSAIEN Gion is a teppanyaki restaurant in a narrow alley in Gion, Kyoto, serving wagyu and Kobe beef steak courses. The course runs from an appetizer through grilled vegetables and a main steak to dessert, with the main meat cooked on the teppan in front of you. At the counter the chef shows the cooking process, explains several kinds of sauce and salt, and finishes with fried rice and scorched rice. There are only two rooms and six seats in total, so walking in without a reservation may leave you without a seat.
