Tendon Restaurant Loosen Up! is a small tendon shop near Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto that serves shrimp tendon, eel tendon, and assorted fried items over rice. The light batter coats shrimp, fish, pumpkin, burdock, and sweet potato, and matcha beer is available on the side. Soy sauce comes separately so diners can add as much as they like. Seating is limited, and when the owner cooks alone, food can take 40 to 50 minutes to arrive.
