Takehana is a small soba restaurant on a street in Gion, Kyoto, within walking distance of Kiyomizu-dera. It serves warm nishin soba, chicken soba, and tenzaru soba, and the fried vegetables and yuba are eaten dipped in salt. At 1 p.m. on a Monday the seats were full but there was no wait, and tables turn over quickly. Only cash is accepted.
