Saka

Shuta Soba Chejaka is a soba restaurant in Kyoto, one block off the main shopping street of Sannenzaka below Kiyomizudera. An elderly couple makes the soba by hand from buckwheat and also serves yuba udon and meat udon. The tempura comes out clean, the soba broth has a strong katsuobushi flavor, and the udon noodles are chewy. Cards are not accepted, only cash.
