Ootake

Ootake is a small meat restaurant near the entrance to the residential area leading to Kiyomizu-dera, serving hamburg steak and meat rice bowls. Its main dish, a coarse-ground hamburg steak set, uses no binders such as egg or onion and comes on a hot plate with demiglace sauce, rice, miso soup, pickles, and salad. The restaurant does not take reservations, and when full, customers wait outside for about 10 minutes; ingredients can run out around 19:00. The space is small with few seats, so waiting is possible.
