Oshokuji Dokoro Shin is a small restaurant in the basement of the Gionmachi Kitagawa shopping arcade in Kyoto's Higashiyama Ward. It serves eel and egg rice bowls and Japanese home-style dishes, with sashimi and fried items available on the side. The owner runs the kitchen and his wife assists, in a bar-seating restaurant of around eight seats. The amount of eel is on the small side.
