Mendori Hyakkei

Mendori Hyakkei is a ramen shop across from the Gion district in Kyoto that serves chicken-broth ramen with a butadon side. The menu centers on clear-broth items such as chicken and salt tanrei soba and clam and soy clear soba. The shop has only eight counter seats, where the noodle-boiling process is visible from the counter, and payment is cash only. With few seats, waits outside can run about 15 minutes on weekends.
