Higashiyama Yoshihisa is a two-Michelin-star Japanese restaurant in Higashiyama, Kyoto, serving creative Japanese courses built from seasonal ingredients. Each month follows a set concept, using seasonal ingredients from mountains and sea and mixing ethnic spices into Japanese dishes. Lunch begins when all ten counter seats are filled and drinks are set, starting with a greeting from the chef. Reservations have been waited on for as long as a year, and English service is limited, so interpretation by another guest is needed.
