Gion Nikutei Shin is a Japanese restaurant in a Gion alley in Kyoto that serves Omi beef as courses and as a rice bowl. The meat is grilled in front of you, and the steak rice bowl can be eaten as is or mixed, then finished as ochazuke by pouring in broth. The space preserves a komachiya over 100 years old, and you can watch the chef cook and explain from across the counter. The restaurant is small, so there are not many seats.
