Gion Kirara is a Japanese restaurant a five-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station, serving seasonal obanzai and kaiseki-style meals. Its signature lunch set brings seasonal obanzai, freshly fried tempura, yuba, and hoe together on one tray. The small space has counter and table seating, and arriving just after 11 a.m. without a reservation was followed by the room filling up soon after. At dinner, only set menus can be ordered.
