Gion Iwamoto

Gion Iwamoto is a traditional Kyoto kaiseki restaurant in Gion, set slightly east of Hanamikoji Street. Its kaiseki courses center on seasonal ingredients and Omi beef. At the counter, diners look out on a moss garden while hearing explanations of the dishes and ingredients. Reservations are made online, through hotel concierge, or by phone, and guidance in English covers each dish's ingredients and how to eat it.
