Gion Ishi

Gion Ishi is a soba restaurant on the third floor of a building in Gionmachi Minamigawa, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, reached by an elevator inside a jewelry shop. Its representative menu is zaru soba dipped in a not-salty tsuyu, served as a set with fried shrimp, eggplant, and perilla leaf. A Korean menu is available, photography inside is not allowed, and the elevator is very small. There are few tables, so waiting is required.
