Gion Ichidou is a teppan creative-cooking restaurant in the Gion district, about a five-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station. It seats eight at a counter and serves courses only. The signature dishes are a mini hamburger of wagyu patty with cooked foie gras and wasabi, and a tomato-roll sukiyaki. The restaurant runs by reservation only and is handled by a married couple, with yakisoba ingredients and fillings varying by season and a handmade monaka ice cream served at the end.
