Kion Eguchi is a kaiseki restaurant in the alleys of Gion in Kyoto that cooks with seasonal ingredients. Its course presents dobinmushi, saikyo yaki, and seasonal hoe one after another, with explanations of each dish. There are private rooms and a large tatami seating area, and the course dishes arrive in an order that follows the pace at which guests eat. The entrance sits at the inner end of a narrow, long path opposite the Nippo Brilliant Gion building, which makes it hard to find.
