Rutubo

Rutubo is a Western-style izakaya in a side alley just off the Gion district of Kyoto, serving smoked dishes and drinks. A large cylindrical smoker turns cheese, quail eggs, beans and wagyu pot roast into tapas-sized portions. Guests at the bar seats can talk with the staff, and many foreign customers come here. Portions are small, and when the place is busy it is hard to get a staff member's attention.
