Tsuruhashi Shopping Street is a market in Osaka focused on Korean food and ingredients, spread out directly in front of Tsuruhashi Station. Kimchi, chijimi, gimbap and bulgogi restaurants, general goods stores and clothing shops line the narrow covered alleys. It began as a black market around the autumn of 1945 and still keeps the look of its old alleys, and walking the whole street takes less than two hours. Some shops close at 17:00 and the narrow passages get crowded, so a late visit is inconvenient.
