Tsubame-No-Mori Hiroba Rooftop Garden

Tsubamenomori Hiroba is a rooftop observation area on top of Hankyu Department Store at Hakata Station, looking down over central Fukuoka. A small garden there holds flowers, a railway, and a shrine, and it is a place to rest while facing the city view. Visitors ride elevators and escalators with transfers to reach it, and tables and chairs are set out for eating snacks brought along. The layout of Hakata Station, split between Amu Plaza and several buildings, makes the route hard to follow on a first visit.
