Sukunahikona Shrine

Sukuna-hikona Shrine is a small, quiet shrine within the grounds of Sumiyoshi Shrine, near Hakata Station and Canal City in Fukuoka. It enshrines Sukuna-hikona-no-mikoto, who governs medicine and sake, and visitors pray here for healing from illness and for physical health. The shrine sits on the left side of the approach path between the first and second torii, and goshuin can be obtained in a pre-written form from the Sumiyoshi Shrine office. Photography is prohibited in some areas.
