The Ittō Shōnin Statue Hōji Church is a Buddhist temple in Fukuoka's Higashi Kōen that enshrines a statue of Ittō Shōnin. A 10.6-meter statue stands at the center of the grounds, surrounded by panels depicting the atomic bomb. Completed in 1904, the 37th year of Meiji, the grounds also hold the Genkyū Shiryōkan, which displays weapons, armor, and materials related to Ittō Shōnin. Anyone may enter the grounds freely, and the shop sells incense and candles while giving out pre-written goshinmei.
