Mangyoji

Mangyoji is a Jodo Shinshu Honganji-ha temple in Gionmachi, Fukuoka, near Kushida Shrine, Kushida-jinja-mae Station, and Canal City. Its large, open grounds display wasan, the hymns chanted during Buddhist services, on permanent signboards. Weekday daytime hours are quiet with few people, and Hakata Furusato Hall is nearby. Maple leaves can be seen in autumn, and some areas are under construction.
