Dongjangsa Ojungtap stands within Tochoji in Fukuoka. Built in 2011 to mark the 1,200th anniversary of the temple’s founding, the 25.9-metre red pagoda uses traditional timber construction without nails. Japanese paintings of seasonal landscapes and Buddhist statues are inside the pagoda. The interior is not open to visitors, so only the exterior can be viewed.
