Dekimachi Park

Dekimachi Park sits on the site of the first Hakata Station in the old Hakata town area. Inside the park are a monument marking the birthplace of Kyushu Railway and railway-related monuments that show the history of the original station. In 2018 the park gained a boarding and alighting area sized for six buses, along with a rental bicycle space, and it is used as a base for touring the old Hakata town area. Green space is limited, so there are few places to spread a mat and eat a packed lunch.
