Ongnyongam is a small temple on the eastern slope of Namsan in Gyeongju. The grounds contain the Gyeongju Namsan Tapgok Maebul Statue Group, carvings of Silla-era Buddhas cut into a large rock. The current Ongnyongam was founded in 1924 and has a Daeungjeon, Samseonggak, and Gwaneumjeon. Access is difficult, and understanding the story of the rock-carved Buddhas without a guide is hard.
