Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond

Donggung Palace and Wolji in Gyeongju centers on three restored pavilions and a pond. Viewing the site under evening or night lighting is the main way to see it rather than during the day. Even with a ticket, a daytime visit takes only a few minutes to walk through. At midday in midsummer there is no shade at all, and it is hot.
