Sinmunwangneung in Baeban-dong, Gyeongju is the tomb of Sinmun, the eldest son of Munmu and the 31st king of Silla, who established the Gukhak and reorganised the system of nine ju and five sogyeong. It sits about 5 km from the Gyeongju National Museum toward Ulsan and is close to a main road, so it is easy to reach by car. The tomb has been newly maintained and is open for viewing, and the surroundings are quiet.
