Borisa is a quiet Buddhist temple for nuns in the Namsan area of Gyeongju, near Gyeongbuk Millennium Forest Garden. Its stone seated Buddha, over a thousand years old, has a Buddha figure carved on the back as well and retains clear detail. From the parking lot near the temple, Daeungjeon Hall is a five-minute walk, and the grounds also hold a Sansingak shrine and a bell pavilion. The toilet is a pit latrine that smells, and there are many mosquitoes.
