Alyeongjeong

Alyeongjeong is a historic well inside Oreung in Hwangnam-dong, Gyeongju. It is where Queen Alyeong, wife of Silla founder Park Hyeokgeose, was born, and the Samguk Sagi and Samguk Yusa both record a story of a dragon appearing there. From the Oreung burial grounds, the well is reached by walking toward the cluster of buildings and passing through a small bamboo grove. The entrance sign is difficult to find.
