Yeonhwa is a jeon restaurant in Gwangju, facing a reservoir, that pan-fries yukjeon, kijogae-jeon, and nakji-jeon. The yukjeon is eaten with myeolchi-jeotgal, pa-muchim, baek-kimchi, and kong-garu, and the meal finishes with jogi-tang and nurungji. Reservations are almost required, and staff pan-fry the jeon in front of each room. The reservoir has lotus flowers in bloom, so a walk before or after the meal is possible, but the space is very open, making it loud and hard to eat quietly.
