5.18 Archives

The May 18 Democratization Movement Records Center is a national archive on Geumnam-ro in Gwangju. It displays writings and physical materials from the May 18 Democratization Movement in chronological order. The exhibition runs from the first floor to the third floor, and the third floor is organized around Han Kang's novel "Sonyeon-i Onda." There is no parking lot at the center, so visitors must use the Geumnam Parking Lot behind it.
