Dongguksa is a Japanese-style Buddhist temple in Gunsan, close to the Modern History Street. The buildings date from the Japanese colonial period and keep black-toned pillars and Japanese architectural forms, and a wind chime sounds when the wind blows. Entry to the grounds is free, and visitors walk around the buildings or take photos for a short time. Parking is not convenient, so visiting on foot is better.
