Daejangbong

Daejangbong is a 142-meter peak on Jangjado in the Gogunsan Islands of Gunsan, reached by a trail that starts at the parking lot next to the Jangjado tourist information center and passes through the village. The route is a protected natural area with two options: wooden deck stairs and a winding dirt path. The climb to the top takes about 20 to 30 minutes, and the observation deck at the summit opens to a 360-degree view over Seonyudo, Jangjado, and Gwallido. The stair route is steep, and a wrong turn can make the hike difficult for beginners.
