Maemi Castle

At the Geoje coast, Maemiseong is a stone-walled viewpoint where visitors see the wall and the sea together. Baek Sun-sam began building the wall alone in 2003 after Typhoon Maemi, filling square stones with cement to protect his farmland. From the wall, the Geoga Bridge and Mongdol Beach are visible, and parking and admission are free. On weekends the parking lot fills up and visitors wait for a space.
